DHARAMSALA

“Meeting Yourself.”

I spent nearly a month in India. I took part in a Buddhism course, visited the Dalai Lama’s temple, explored lesser-known places, and did a lot of photography. The morning atmosphere in the temple is unforgettable – the birds singing, the occasionally mischievous monkeys, and people from all corners of the world.

Dharamsala is a place where cultures meet, home to over 10,000 Tibetans who had to leave China. This small town at the foot of the Himalayas reminded me in some ways of New York – with its bustling streets, diverse people, and cafés I wouldn’t have expected to find here. But if you step away from the center even for a moment, you’ll find quiet corners full of energy. And for those seeking the truth about themselves, perhaps they will find it here as well – just as I did.
